Activities for All Season’s at Trail’s End Resort

The Lake
Echo Lake offers activities for all hobbies and ages including Fishing, Swimming, Hiking, Sunning, Boating and Water-skiing. Echo Lake is a naturally reproducing lake and is considered one of the best walleye and crappie lakes in the area, according to the DNR in “Outdoor News”. Bluegill and Perch are also plentiful. Whether you bring your own boat, rent one of ours, or fish right off the docks there are amazing fish all year around! You’re sure to have a great time whether you choose to just relax at the cabin or to enjoy your day hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing or even just sunning on our beautiful, sandy beach.

Other Activities
In addition to water sports, we offer Canoeing, Kayaking, Horseshoes, Bean Bag Tossing, Hiking Trails and Sightseeing. ATV and snowmobile trails run right through our property and there are rentals around the area if you desire. In season, wild berry picking and ricing are also a favorite n the area. The Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful place to take the family to watch the bears and is just a short drive away. There is also a Golf Course nearby.

Hunting
There are excellent hunting prospects around Trail’s End Resort. Abundant game in the area include Grouse, Duck, Goose, Bear, and Deer. Wolves and Moose are in the area as well but they are protected at this time.

Winter Sports
The winter beauty of the Superior National Forest provides the occasion to enjoy winter sports including, sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. We are located on the Voyageur Snowmobile Trail which connects with the Arrowhead Trail and others offering hundreds of miles of groomed trails. After a long, invigorating day in the snow, warm up with a hot meal and a cold beverage at the onsite Restaurant and Bar!
